Skills:
Swordsmanship-Kylar usually uses his signature katana Kurai Suigin in battle. He utilizes a real-life sword style, known as Iaido, which involves attacking with both the sword and scabbard. He also uses other weapons at times. Kylar is shown to be a master swordsman, striking so fast that the opponent does not realize they have been slain until he sheathes his weapon. His swordsmanship is noted to exceed that of many pirates and marines, as evidenced by the facts that he defeats thousands of pirates in battle without getting a single scratch.

Singing and playing musical instruments-Kylar is not just talented in swordsmanship but also in music, he’s very in tune with music and uses his musical ear to help him in his
Blind Sight ability. He is quite skilled in many musical instruments and is able to play with great skill as he’s able to even effect the emotions of others with his music.

CQC-Kylar has also been trained in hand to hand combat in case of him being disarmed, his style is based on fluid movements as he moves with an opponent’s strike then strike with quick strikes. His style is close to the real world Jeet Kune Do.

Devil’s tongue-Kylar has a unique ability to calm others down and to talk his way out of most situations. He often uses this to flirt with cute women. He also is good at getting others to give him information about things and has even been able to haggled prices depending on what better benefits him.

Foreign Language: Kylar has shown the ability to read ancient and foreign text like at the ruins where he got his Devil Fruit, he seems rather good at it and can instantly known what symbols translate

Abilities:
Enhanced Endurance- Kylar has amazing endurance thanks to years of training alongside Gin, Tatsumi, his father and grandfather. He’s able to handle great amount of physical punishment, and fight for long periods of time before fatigue takes over. After gaining his devil fruit and training with Bilge his Endurance has reached the point nothing seems to faze him, as even multiple impalement and crushed bones [if you can break them at this point] he brushes off. He is able to take full on attacks from giants as they are nothing and spar with a number of the Vice Admiral Giants and survive mostly with his Devil Fruit. He has also shown being able to take the power of the Gura Gura no Mi head on and still give chase into the air while caring a full grown man.

Enhanced Speed-Kylar’s speed is amazing as many of his swordsmanship techniques are so fast most are unable to even notice they have been sliced till sometime after he’s sheathed his sword. He is able to move with amazing speed and agility to go with his style of combat. Now with training even the keenest eyes only see him as a blur of his movements, as only the fastest like Kaze could keep up with him at this point.

Enhanced Strength-Kylar’s strength is just as amazing as his speed and agility. As he’s trained under Bilge for two years his strength is unbelievable for a human being. He has little control of his strength as he been around a giant of giants so long that he often hurts others with gentle pats by mistake, he must focus greatly to not harm someone at this point. Kylar often spars with Vice Admirals pushing himself pass the normal human limit, he is not as strong as them but anyone other than a giant would suffer greatly from a full on strike from him.

Blind sight-After Gin gained his devil fruit he started training to use his other senses gaining the ability to see without his eyes. Thus allowing him to act, fight and navigate while blind, in darkness or otherwise sightless. This has a side-affect that when he’s using his blind sight his hearing is increased making sound based attacks more effective.

Fishing: During his training with Bilge, Kylar developed a taste for Sea King, and eats this as often as possible. He often will go fishing for them as well by dragging sharks or sometimes pirates in the water to get a bite.

Techniques:

Verse-Three Crimson Eclipse-A technique in which Kylar slashes an opponent at such a fast pace that it appears that he did not attack at all (in fact, to the casual observer it would look like the user simply walked past the victim). Only when a certain amount of time has passed, which is approximate to the time it takes him to walk ten feet away, or three steps (verses, as the name suggests), does their opponent only realize the attack. It seems to employ elements of iai (instant sword-draw-and-resheath) since it is generally initiated (though not always) with Kylar moving towards the intended target(s) with a naked blade and walks past them before sheathing it back. It is usually at this point that the victims start manifesting and feeling the effects of this high-speed attack. The technique is highly versatile, since with it, the user can slash multiple targets at once and if they so wish, the damage they inflict can be as fatal or as incapacitating as they like.

Moonlight Shadow- A thrusting/slashing technique with the sword that apparently creates a highly compressed blast of air with enough power to burst its way through a thick wall as if fired from a cannon. Powerful as it is, it could just as easily be countered by a similar attack, if combined with Illusion Blitz Blade he can produce a number of barrage of compressed air bullets. All his compressed air attacks have a dark blue tent to them to match his theme.

Illusion Blitz Blade-A technique in which Kylar delivers several thrusts/slashes against an opponent, visually, due to the user's speed, it looks as if they are thrusting with several swords. The attacks are weak but it’s more to try and overwhelm them with attacks to deliver multiple light puncture wounds.

Crimson Eclipse: Devil's Dance"): This is an advance stronger version of Crimson Eclipse. Placing the sheathed sword upright and listening to the rhythm of his opponent "breathing, he then kicks off to dash around the area while he rapidly unsheathe his sword, attacks his opponent[s], and sheathes his sword in one quick fluid movement. This is more advance form of Crimson Eclipse in that this one has the ability to cut through solid steel, and is able to strike multiple opponents.

Soru: After joining the marines Kylar went into training to learn this Rokushiki technique. This technique allows the users to move at extremely high speeds in order to avoid attacks, as well as to attack at higher speeds and with greater power. Kylar is highly skilled in this as he's able to do this with weights on and still move at high speeds enough to dodge projectiles, he has learned how to create afterimages with Soru to confuse opponents. Kylar is known as one if not the fastest Marine with this technique only possible being slightly beaten by Kaze thanks to her smaller size.

Rankyaku-is a powerful projectile technique, in which the users start by kicking at very high speeds and strength, sending out a sharp compressed air blade that can slice objects and greatly damage a human body. However, it has been shown that almost any length of appendage (such as a tail or neck) at high velocities is also capable of this move. So far Kylar has learned to use both legs and both arms to release the flying air slash and is able to even do it with heavy weights weighting his limbs and body down."

Devil Fruit: Devil fruit: Kylar ate ate a Devil Fruit referred to as a Mythical Zoan type, which is an immensely powerful type of Zoan Devil Fruit, said to be even rarer than Logia. His Devil Fruit enables him to transform into a phoenix. It is because of this ability that he is identified as "A Phoenix man". While this fruit's power is a Zoan, due to the uniqueness of the phoenix, the additional powers it grants may be considered similar to those of Paramecia (the somewhat "superhuman" power that affects the user's body: regeneration) and Logia (the generation of blue phoenix flames that makes him seem somewhat intangible).
This Devil Fruit gives Kylar increased physical attributes (as is with all Zoan type) and the rare ability of flight, as well as the possibility of launching aerial attacks. During the Battle against Fat Tony showcased his aerial maneuverability by traversing quickly around the battlefield and Fat Tony and his men. He can transform his feet into phoenix talons, with which he can slash his enemies.
Like other Zoan users, Kylar is able to take a hybrid human-beast form. However, unlike most other Zoan users, Kylar can transform selective parts of his body without changing his whole appearance.

The fruit's greatest attribute, however, is that by transforming into a phoenix of blue flames at will, Kylar can regenerate any wounds with fire, much like how a phoenix is said to rise from its own ashes. Because of this, Kylar is very resilient and can take a huge amount of damage in his phoenix form with no visible consequence other than the time taken to regenerate. He was thus able to take a barrage bullets and sword attacks from the marines. These blue flames are not hot and they do not burn or spread like normal fire; instead, they are what allow him to heal, and regeneration and are referred to as the "Blue Flames of Resurrection". Kylar thanks to his two years of training under Bilge and the repeated needs to heal himself, Kylar has learned to heal almost instantly with an attack. Say if a blade was to cut him in half, the flames would appear behind the blade to heal the damage to prevent harm to him, he still feels it but most things don't harm him anymore.

Strong Will: Kylar seems to have a strong if not unbreakable will, he forces himself normally way past the breaking point in training to only move on will alone a few times during fights. He also has been able to take blast of Haoshoku Haki while half dead without passing out.

Kenbunshoku Haki: Kylar has learned to even be aware during sleep thanks to Bilge's wake up calls to smack him while yelling out "Good Morning Kylar." and sending him three islands away most of the time. Kylar now can just avoid the attack by a hair but normally still gets drafted by the air current the hand produces. He often uses this to aid in dodging, blocking, as well as locating people.

Busoshoku Haki: Kylar also learned some of this with Bilge, as well as trained it himself while alone. He is not as skilled as Gilge is but he is able to coat his arms and legs with the haki to increase his attacks, he also can use it with a sword seeing to increase his cutting strength.

Busoshoku: Blaue Loptr - Hardening his hand and dashing against the opponent whilst scratching his hand against the ground, his hand's ignited in blue flames, which causes severe burns along with the regular damage from the punch.

Busoshoku: Schwert- By hardening his hands and forming an edge Kylar can turn his hand into a sword to cut people while unarmed, he can use Rankyaku to make the attack sharper and even more deadly, with this skill Kylar can cut through a normal ship just with his hands alone.

Rankyaku Screaming Blaues-By using Rankyaku with his sword he makes a faster, thinner flying air slash that strong enough to go through reinforced steel with ease.


Final Song; Raising Phoenix:This is a powerful Iaijutsu technique whose secret lies in discovering both the significance and insignificance of one's life. Though its form is that of any other Iaijutsu strike, the Final Song differs in that - while a normal strike is performed by drawing the katana from its sheath on one side while stepping forward with the opposite foot - this strike adds yet another step mid-draw with the foot adjacent to the sheath. This endangers the user by possibly putting the adjacent leg into the free sword's path and draws one even closer to an opponent's sword than usual, but on the other hand, boosts both the power and the speed of the Iaijutsu swing. By realizing one's insignificance and risking life and limb to protect something else while, at the same time, taking one's own, fragile human life into consideration, the user is able to step into the small margin behind one's own drawn sword and in front of the sword of one's opponent without fail, delivering a god like speed blow of monstrous power. Additionally, like Kylar's other Iaijutsu moves, Final Song is a two-step move and, if its secret should be anticipated and the strike itself blocked or dodged, the second step comes immediately into effect.
The immense force of the enhanced draw cuts the air in front of it and creates a powerful vacuum in its wake as the deflected air rushes back into place. Any opponent to deflect or dodge the first swing will automatically be subject to this vacuum and inexorably pulled closer to the user. Additionally, with the great amount of force being applied to the Raising Phoenix, a missed swing leads naturally into a spin akin to the Devil's Dance. The added momentum of the spin in addition to the pulling force of the vacuum on both side results in a second strike that greatly dwarfs the first in power.

Geppo- Learned when he first meet a Giantess to get to her chest, he often combines this with Soru to move about in the air quickly to use his sword techniques while airborne, as well allow for quick mobility in the air as well as prevent hard landings. He has learned to do this with one foot making it seem similar to his foot tap he often does while standing

Kami-e- Kylar has learned to allow his body to go limp to avoid attacks and float like paper. He uses this to roll with his opponent and help get into their defenses. This is enhanced more with his Haki to further help him avoid attacks.

Tekkai- Kylar was taught this technique to help better defend against Bilge's attacks by hardening his body, he's learned to combine this with Haki to increase the defensive skill.

Shigan- Kylar learned this technique from Bilge as it was the giants main way to strike at him, he combines this with his strength and speed to rapidly pierces through someone. He can combine this with Rankyaku to launch bullet like air bullets to strike for long range attacks.

Talon Shigan- Kylar can improve the Shigan by using it with his talons to give them a sharper point in his half-beast forms to increase the techniques effectiveness.

Tranformation modes-Kylar has learned to control his transformations greatly to have only wings form on his back to allow him the use of his arms to attack while in flight, and to produce talons on his hands. Kylar is often dubbed the Angel of Death thanks to these wings and his habit of killing pirate crews with no mercy.
