Island of Ween
Island of Ween is a peculiar place, suffering from extended effects one of the more queer Paramecia-type Devil Fruit: Toki Toki no Mi. Due to an extremely powerful user, the island is trapped in permament nighttime since distant past, and as such it supposedly became a hiding place for various legendary creatures of the night. Due to that it has a reputation of an extremely dangerous, creepy place - yet for some reason, the Marine HQ designated it as a place for one of its bases before being destroyed by the Expedition crew.

Geography
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
Where Is It Located?
Ween is a place in the Grand Line, on the other side known as the New World. It's a most peculiar place, eternally changed by the effects of a Devil Fruit power, causing it to be going through endless nighttime. That peculiarity caused the evolution of most bizzare fauna and flora, as well as making it the ultimate living space for the creatures of the night - vampires and werewolves of legend.

If I Were To Visit, What Would I See?
While longer stay is generally unadvised, the island is one of the more interesting places for exploration in this part of the New World; for some reason, it was chosen as a location of a Marine base, which instantly skyrocketed to first place in consumption of blood transfusion reserves and raw meat. Since the destruction of the base and evacuation of majority of the population, the island is considered abandoned.
- Marine Base - deemed one of the most mysterious Goverment facilities, the Marine base of Ween appeared more like a giant laboratory than anything else; due to the nature of the place, it suffered almost constant losses of personnel, which is rapidly replaced with newbie recruits delegated to the G-5 Base... after all, nobody misses people from that formation. Since the attack from the Expedition crew, the base is considered wholly inactive.
- Herzog Keep - the official meeting spot for the leaders of the 'noble' families of the island, the keep is a majestic building made of black brick, cold and poorly lit, yet tidy and stylishly furnished; the place is ripe with secret rooms and hidden passages, and human guests are generally advised to politely decline any offer of spending the night. Currently it's completely abandoned.
- Forest of Candles - one of the most amazing things on Ween is the plantlife that adjusted itself to living in permament moonlight, including the most specifict ones - candletrees. With leaves of pitch black to absorb all of the moonlight they can and complicated internal chemistry, that can convert most compounds in the soil to energy, they already qualify as a miracle of nature - but the oddest thing about them are upright, waxy growths that constantly flicker with wispy flames, said to provide light to the youngest shrubs before they develop into a self-sustaining trees. Just be careful while being mystified by nature's ingenuity, since the woods are known as the hunting grounds of werewolves.
- Lumikin Fields - as the name suggests, the fields are the location composed mostly of farmlands, cultivating Ween-specific mutation of the mundane pumpkin - that being the lumikin, possessing the quality of bioluminescence; the farmlands are the home for a small and tough knit human [?] population, a true example of humanity's ability to survive even in harshest circumstances.

Legends: Vampires
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
What exactly are they?
Vampires are often counted among the 'undead', but said assumption is simply not true as only the powers of certain Devil Fruit can return a semblance of life to a corpse. The assumption comes from the fact that vampires are born as normal humans, completely mundane till reaching their prime age - when that happens, they enter the state of death-like stupor called the 'quickening' by other vampires and often mistaken for actual death by normal humans. The 'quickening' serves a similar role as the process of metamorphosis to insects, transforming the body of the subject into its 'adult' form - a cursed, supernatural bloodsucker. Their existence is one of the biggest mysteries and many people still wonder if they even exist at all.

Their existence is one of the biggest mysteries and many people still wonder if they even exist at all.
What Special Traits are they said to possess?
- Overpowering presence and charisma - the most characteristic trait of vampires is their powerful presence, comparable to Haoshoku Haki, though with a much darker, sinister hint. Their proficiency with Haki is instinctual and potent enough to easily use the two basic shades, while also able to dominate, subdue and paralyze individuals with weaker wills, making them natural rulers. This comes as a contrast with their bodies, which appear pale and lifeless as if still affected by the stupor.
- Illusion - a derivative of their supernatural presence, vampires can cause other beings to hallucinate, appearing to turn into a swarm of bats, ravens or insects, dark mist or predatory animals - as if targetting the most primal and basic fears existing in humanity.
- Feeding on blood - previously mentioned traits serve to help vampires in dealing with their true curse: the need to feed on the blood of the living, be it humans or other sentient beings; the need cannot be supressed, urging the vampire to drain a person completely at least once a week unless they want to weaken and finally reenter the death-like stupor, never to reawaken again; usally they regulate the number of victims by spreading out their sources and drinking regularly, but they can be overtaken by the sensation of feeding and still kill their victims accidentally.
- Immortality - vampires are effectivelly ageless, not dying from 'natural' causes as long as they keep feeding on blood; they also show heightened resillience to all sorts of punishment, though they ability to heal is rather limited when compared to normal humans.
- Cursed by sun - while normally vampires appear the same as right after the 'quickening', regardless of how many years have passed, when exposed to sunlight they are stripped of their supernatural presence and glamour and their natural age is revealed - the oldest of them looking like dried, mummified corpses; naturally, it also takes away most of their power.
- Unable to swim - vampires are without exception completely unable to swim, becoming a 'hammer' as soon as they are submerged; the nature of this phenomenon suggests a common source for Devil Fruit powers and vampirism.
Social structure.
It's a reasonable assumption than most vampires would prefer to live alone, without contact with others of their kind - it'd be justified by the fact that a group of feeding vampires would be much easier to identify and pinpoint due to a larger number of people disappearing cause of their actions. The island of Ween is an exception with its eternal nighttime, taking away one of their biggest vulnerabilities.
Seeing as many of them are said to have lived for many human generations, the amassed wealth of knowledge and treasure supposedly owned by them would impress most nobles, with the obvious exception of Celestial Dragons.

Legends: Werewolves
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
What exactly are they?
Werewolves are said to be people cursed with shapeshifting: every time they get exposed to the light of the moon, their physical form twists and shifts into one of a wolf, though unlike the transformation caused by powers of Zoan-class Devil Fruit, the clothes and body mass don't adjust to the usual size of said animal. In said form, the werewolves keep basic self-control and intellect but feel a strong compulsion to feed on fresh meat of other sentient beings.

In said form, the werewolves keep basic self-control and intellect but feel a strong compulsion to feed on fresh meat of other sentient beings.
What Special Traits are they said to posses?
- Wolf Form - whenever exposed to the light of moon, werewolves shift into a form identical with a common wolf, though keeping the same size and body mass of their original selves, and with that their proportionate physical capabilities; in its nature, the transformation is very similar to a Zoan Full-animal form and provides similar boons. The transformation never lasts longer than 7 hours and expires whenever the werewolf suffers from lethal damage, supposedly to use the restoration trait as last-ditch survival effort.
- Restoration - whenever the transformation occurs, all wounds, broken bones, damaged organs and severed limbs regenerate instantly; it's an effect that occurs only when crossing from form to form and doesn't affect the usual healing rate of the werewolf at all.
- Carnivorous drive - the most specific trait of the curse. While they generally keep the same basic mentality, werewolves begin to experience a powerful and aggressive drive to attack and feed on other sentient beings, especially of the same race their original form belongs due.
Social structure
While in their human forms, werewolves blend in with society perfectly, though generally staying on the edge and keeping their distance to others - building relationships is almost impossible after trying to eat your significant one's face after they suggested a romantic evening viewing the moon and stars.
During the brighter moon phases, many try avoiding leaving their homes, while others, more psychotic ones, happily embrace their curse and begin to hunt - in packs and solo. Still, many crimes attributed to werewolves may as well be caused by packs of rabid dogs... but can you be sure?
