Character Name: Kite "Kaito" Kokurai

Abilities: Pugilism [Art of the Fists] - Kaito is a boxer by trade, someone who fights with their fists in order to survive against opponents. He uses the motions of boxing while fighting, but is someone of a pragmatist in mortal combat using his legs when needed to go against opponents who have the ability to fight with them in order to even the playing field, but he does this rarely as he wishes to focus mostly on his fists.

In terms of style, Kaito is a counter puncher, someone who waits for the right moment to strike the finishing blow and uses an opponents own physical abilities against them with "counters". He knows a plethora of movements and stances that allow him to fight against multiple opponents. He also focuses on using his inertia from movement to strike opponents giving the force of his blows a great amount of force overall thanks to his lackluster strength.

His greatest trait in combat is his high-speed and athleticism, he has a great deal of coordination, capable of changing his stances and movements quickly as well as understanding an opponents rhythms in battle in order to change and overwhelm them with his own rhythm. He also has an impeccable jab, exceptionally quick, sharp and focused on pressuring the opponent so they get caught in his rhythm. His worse trait is his physical strength, thus relying on his speed, counters, and numerous blows to finish off most opponents. He has a great amount of physical stamina, though his is athletic it isn't effective at taking heavy blows from opponents, making him less than amicable against heavy-hitting opponents.

His overall style of battle is the "high-risk, high reward" standard, making him someone, despite his peculiarities in strength and durability, capable of fighting against much stronger more durable foes without batting an eye. Also despite this, his body is much stronger than an average human combatant just suffering against the heavier hitters where he uses speed and skill to more than make up for it.

Signature Techniques - He has no true signature skills in battle, focusing on using his boxing skills to their full limit.

Weapon: Strong and durable leather gloves that protect his fists. Gauze bandages to cover over any injuries he may obtain and to protect his knuckles from damage. Uses one knuckle duster in battles against weapon wielding opponents.

Personality: Confident in his abilities, and fun-loving, Kite is usually laid-back towards the world around him. He likes to party, very loose around people he trusts and rarely gets mad at most things, apart from the occasional prank or mishap. He hates bullies or those who push others around using intimidation to get what they need, and applicably voices the reasons why someone shouldn't do such a thing. He loves fast things, and is usually one to leap and jump around using his great athleticism to perform incredible feats.

When he was young, he learned to fight because of his skin color as people would always pick on him just because he was different so he was taught boxing by his uncle who he lives with (his uncle is Japanese on his mothers side). He also found out about his physical abilities, and gained more confidence because of it, but started to love boxing and spirited competition at an early age, too. Thanks to this, he is regarded as a sportsman, someone who doesn't fight for violence but for a good way to learn about others or to enhance his own skills.

Kite never goes too far in a fight, trying to avoid too violent conflicts and keeping a distance from people who wish to take his "fun" away. He likes his own freedom and isn't one to give it up freely. He doesn't have much ambition, being unsure of what to do next. He often calls himself an idiot, and hates not knowing what he should do next in life, though rarely shows this to others. He often smiles, or tries to shy away from such conversations avoiding them like the plague.

He trains his skills in combat everyday, as he was taught by his grandfather not to allow folly to conflict with his judgment in learning to box. Since he genuinely loves boxing, it's not a problem for him. He also learned some "dirty moves" from his grandfather, and knows that sometimes one has to fight dirty to survive though does so rarely if the opponent fights clean. He takes challenges seriously, though he rarely takes most things as serious and loves competition just because he considers it as fostering friendship. Sometimes he can be over talkative, but otherwise means well.

History: Due to his mannerisms and his looks, Kite was often picked on by kids while he was young, getting into boxing at a young age thanks to his uncle and grandfather, and after showcasing a special knack for athleticism, not many bothered him again. Growing up, his uncle and grandfather were marines, though his grandfather had retired at the time. Thanks to the standing tradition, Kite had decided to also become a marine, though he wasn't that enthusiastic about it, he was intelligent showing a natural knack for learning and understanding. His thoughts on justice weren't black and white either, understanding that sometimes justice just can't be considered the right justice for the occasion.

In the navy, he showcased his intelligence on the battlefield, showing great capabilities as a fighter with an interest in competition. He was not interested in the day to day tasks and begrudgingly performed them, calling them hassles. His grandfather died of old age while he was still just a nameless marine serving underneath the main ranks, in this time he mourned. He was more interested in fun after all. Despite this, his skill as a strategist had been seen as well, with his aptitude of fighting at least and he usually stayed calm and sure of himself being adept at understanding opponents next moves. With that, he quickly rose to "Captain" status in a manner of years.
