S K I L L S
Silent Footsteps: Axel is able to walk and run silently, even when weighed down by people, weapons, building fragments, buildings, you name it.

Swordsmanship: Axel trained with swords! Instead of the normal ninja throwing weapons, he uses swords. Lots of swords, or only a few swords. It really varies.

Concealment: Axel can change his appearance. Not really, just his hair. He's working on it. But, he's not doing the best job.


A B I L I T I E S:

Instinct:
Axel was born from a shinobi, and a 'monster'. His senses are naturally very sharp. He is usually able to -feel- the tone of the people surrounding them, by the shifts in very slight things, such as scent, or their appearance. However, because of this, things such as very bad smells are more disturbing to him, despite the fact that he trained specifically to lesson this weakness.

Strength:
Axel is very strong. Even by superhuman standards, he's strong. Some state that his body may actually be in a consistent state of 'Hell Path', despite he hasn't properly trained in the arts. Because of this, he wears bands that make him mentally conscious of the amount of strength he's using so that he could avoid destroying things around him. However, due to this strength, unless he uses his absolute maximum strength, his body doesn't suffer the pain, and muscle tearing that that amount of power creates.

Axel's Super Special Awesome Ideas!:
Axel learns mostly by trial and error after watching something, and getting an idea. Because of this, the majority of the techniques he uses are adapted to his own style, and somewhat different from the original versions. In many cases, they start out less efficient than the originals one way or the others, too. However, that makes him very versatile as well, potentially.

Poison Resistance:
Poison isn't super good against him. He's built up a resistance to most types of poison. And, because of that, it would either take an amazing amount of poison, or a very strange, and almost inaccessible poison to create negative impact on his body.

Samsara
The Ninja's euivalent to the CP9's 'Rokushiki', ironically designed without comparing, but of it's own origin and make. It focuses on six key techniques with one 'Ougi' for those exceptionally skilled. Though Axel never properly learned any of the paths, he is aware of, and has an adaption to each. Each technique is a 'Path' that focuses on a part of the 'Six Realms of Existence'

Asura Path
The user's limbs move at a high pace and through these movements, the user seems to have multiple copies of that limb. The strangest thing is that they all function seemingly independently and work as if the user truly did have that many arms/legs/whatever targeted limb. This is Axel's favored path, as it allows him to one, attack many opponents at once, and, defend from many attacks at once as well. His favored method of using the Asura Path is to 'replicate' his upper body, so that he could still move around semi-freely, and attack with more than two 'arms'.

Ghost Path:
This is perhaps the path Axel is the worst at. One, because, though he is very swift, his movement isn't quite quick enough to achieve the ghost path's goal - surpassing Kenshoku Haki user's senses. The only technique he made an adaption for is 'Haunt'. He will move toward an opponent, with the full intention of attacking the enemy head on. And, then, he will simply 'fool' himself. Because the result of the attack ends up being an attack that Axel actively told himself that he didn't intend to do, not only would it shock the users of that Haki, however, potentally deal mental damage. As, at that point, they couldn't believe -anything- they felt from Axel, could they?

Human Path
Works via using an item or a certain target, and through a swift movement seems to make that appear like the user, effective for deceiving foes. Skilled users may even be able to confuse Kenbunshoku Haki by using their 'aura' at the same time to make it feel just like them. Note: Axel is not a skilled user. At this point, he can only change the color of his hair.

Deva Path
A movement similar to 'Geppou' yet by using skimming movements rather than swift jumps, it allows the user to seemingly run on water, walls or even the air if they have enough skill.

Deva Path; Axels
This is a version of Deva path spicific to Axel. He had the -need- to aquire flight. And, so he practiced this technique relentlessly, to the point where he could appear to hover, or even fly. In reality, its because he learned to keep his entire body in very slight movement, but it allows him a great deal of mobility, even in the air, as if he could manipulate the wind its self.

Beast Path
With either a flicking motion or a drawing motion through the air, the user can create sharp cuts that even rival swordsmen. It is a strange motion that is similar to 'Shigan' and 'Rankyaku' at the same time, in the fact that it uses only a finger and generates a sharp cut with just a movement. Although through the use of nails, it is sharper than a 'Rankyaku' even if typically not as long. However, Axel cannot use this through his nails, and only through any swords he gets his hands on.

H I S T O R Y

Many years ago, nearer to the beggining of the conquest of the Crew known as the North Star, their numbers were much more reasonable, and, their First Mate was much more Wild. Upon their first visit to the New World, there were many who wished to 'welcome them' One was a Shinobi from the country of Wano. Unfortunately, the first individual that she encountered was none other than Suki Kagra. She snuck into his room on his birthday. She aimed to assassinate him while he slept. However, what she entered to was nothing less than appalling. Suki was with a few women - enjoying the moments of his birthday. One already had ruptured internal organs, and her entire lower body was shattered, and the other had her jaw unhinged, and had clearly recently suffocated. However, Suki, who was clearly unaware was still using her as if she was nothing more than a tool.

This, however wasn't what made the shinobi faulter. When she went in for the kill, Suki's head turned towards her. He dropped the woman he was using, and, within moments, had the young shinobi pinned against the wall. Simple minded as always, Suki assumed Stella sent her in for his birthday. And, once she heard that, the shinobi knew exactly what would happen to her. She fought valiantly, however, the knives, blades, and bombs only seemed to excite the batman further. And, by the end of the night, she found herself like the others. Though, much to her dismay, she survived. She layed on the sands where she was disguarded with Suki's other broken toys, barely alive, nude, and pregnant. She was picked up by a passing group of swordsmen that noticed that she was breathing. Patched up, and nursed back to 'health' over the months, she choose not to tell them of her linage, or choice of career, as they would not have continued to show sympathy. She even took on a new name, to save her life.

Thus, Axel's mother, "Shana" choose to devise a story for how she got there. In the story, she was just a girl who was trying to make some money. The North Star had promised a great amount of money if she could survive for one night on their ship. And, that was how she met the First Mate, Suki Kagra.

The thing that she was the most surprised about was the child he had left with her. She had dedicated her whole life to being a shinobi mainly because she was infertile, and thus, could not have a child with her husband. However, in one night, Suki had managed something he couldn't over the course of several years of attempting. As Axel grew inside her, she became -painfully- aware of a few facts. Axel, even as a child, had inherited his father's overwhelming strength. If her body wasn't so much more durable than the average human, his kicks, even as a baby would have ruptured her internal organs. In fact, when he was finally born, it was made clear that his passing would not be something that she would survive. 'Shana' made a decision understanding that. She told the swordsmen that took her in not to tell him who his father was - he would surely figure it out eventually. And, to take him in. He was born to be a warrior, and with them, that is exactly what he would be.

And, so she was cut open, and the warrior was born, with a booming cry. At this point, however, the shinobi that Shana worked with had already found out that she not only failed, but survived. And, so, her case was taken as an attempt to flee. And, so, all ties to her were to be cut. Sadly, that only left her child, and the swordsmen that protected him.

They fought valiantly for a few years. When Axel was five, they were killed on their way home from the store. The shinobi who did that then came for Axel. However, by then, he had already held a sword, and had no place to distinguish right from wrong. His amazing strength had led them to already having started to teach him the way of the sword. He struck the shinobi down, laughing, and moving on. Eventually, he realized that his 'parents' weren't coming back. And, so, he set out on his own, to find food, and learn how to survive. As the years passed, he was attacked by many shinobi, and, eventually, recruited by others. The many skills Axel learned from his attackers, people he watched, and even individuals he had heard about made him quite formidable. And, every time he said his full name, it struck fear into the hearts of the weak - though many did not make the true connection that existed.

And, so, Axel lived life working for the highest bidder. And, as his reputation increased, many were willing to pay for the miniture monster
