Skin/Fur in hybrid/full transformation cannot be pierced, ripped or cut. Thus making conventional blades or arrows useless.
Obtains claws sharper than any normal blade, at /least/ comparable to Oo Wazamono grade swords.
Skin/Fur makes the user impervious to heat or cold.

Weaknesses
Can still be beaten by blunt force, although more is required due to the toughness of their body.
Despite the skin/furs usual inability to be cut, using the users own claws they can be cut with some difficulty.
Standard Devil Fruit weaknesses.
